Parkfields, London

EJ Studio was appointed to design a new single storey, rear extension for this London home, located in the Parkfields Conservation Area in Putney, London. The material palette of the new flat roof extension consists of rustic white painted bricks, exposed concrete lintels and slim-line aluminium frame glazing.

As well as re-designing the rear of the house, alterations were made to the house, creating space for a utility, ground floor wc, coat cupboard and pantry, as well as opening up the entrance hallway to allow for direct views to the garden from the front door.  At first floor level, the family bathroom was redesigned, a new rooflight was installed to bring natural light into the centre of the house and all rooms were redecorated.

EJ Studio was appointed from the Feasibility stage, through to the completion of a full Tender set, which the Client's used to secure a builder and manage the project on site. Planning permission was obtained from Wandsworth Council for the scheme.
